Our regular open session at Meadowbank. 2 hours of badminton followed by food and drink somewhere local.

The below information, along with our Code of Conduct rules in The Hub, should be read before attending. By attending, you agree to follow these rules.  

Our strict RSVP policy applies to this session. You must RSVP to attend. Join the waitlist if you missed your chance as spaces often become available closer to the time. If you show up unannounced to a full session you will not be admitted. Please remember to remove your RSVP if you can't make it! A three-strike suspension policy is in force for no-shows!  

Guests:

+1s approved by the session leader are allowed - please do not book in a guest without first getting approval.  

Fees: 

As per ticket price.  

Racquet Hire is available for a fee of £2. Limited availability - please contact the organiser to arrange this before booking.  

Special offer coupons may be issued occasionally for certain memberships or events. Coupons issued to individuals for personal use must not be shared with others. Coupon use is monitored and any misuse as determined by the organiser may result in suspension or removal from the group.  Payments can be refunded (admin fee applies) or moved by contacting the organiser but they become non-refundable and non-transferable if cancelling your RSVP within 24 hours of the session start time.  

When you arrive:

The sign in sheet must be completed and any relevant information read before you jump on court. If it's your first time, seek out the session leader for a quick briefing. Sit at the side, have a blether, and jump on whenever you see a court freeing up. If others have been waiting longer, let them on first.  We play doubles games to 15 points if the session is busy, and 21 if it's quieter (>24 people). Singles are only permitted during quiet sessions where a court is not being used. We use plastic shuttles but feel free to bring feathers.
